Space-frame foam core panel construction is one of the strongest, most economical, secure, simplest, and fastest to install of available building systems. However, the reliance of these systems on a nonstructural expanded polystyrene core and prefabricated formation generates an assembly which occupies a much greater proportional cubic measure than the volume of the relevant structural components. This foam core and factory assembly result in unnecessary size (and cost) that requires large volume of transport, which in areas of poor or damaged infrastructure reduces the feasibility of what should be a preferred construction method. Expanded polystyrene also requires large expensive factories which are often distant from the areas of panel fabrication, thus necessitating more shipping. The rising cost of fuel also detracts from the practicality of products that cannot be efficiently shipped. In an effort to overcome the aforementioned problems, we have developed StructaPanel, which is a patent pending innovation in space-frame, that is unique by eliminating the foam core without increasing the amount of concrete that the cores of other panels are designed to displace. The components of StructaPanel therefore need 97% less space and so can be more readily delivered to locations of need. Furthermore, because the elements of the StructaPanel space-frame are not locked into a foam core at a factory, they can be easily modified, or assembled in many different ways on site, accommodating specific engineering requirements and to provide greater versatility and/or strength. Thus, unlike any other space frame system, StructaPanel can furnish total adaptability to almost any structural requirement and geographical problem. Furthermore, after pricing outsourced fabrication of the various components and including costs of shipping and assembly, this system is less expensive than any of the competitive panel systems.

Perfect For Areas of Limited Infrastructure and Disaster Relief

Panel and modular building systems are available for disaster relief, adequately filling the immediate shelter needs; however, employment throughout the community is also a major requirement for recovery. Most of the procurable prefabricated housing systems are designed to minimize labor. Thus they inadvertently deprive people in need of work and participation in rebuilding their communities.
We are trying to rectify this.
